Virtual War Zone On Sale

The 3D wireframe tank, Virtual Boy homebrew game called ‘Virtual War Zone‘ is now on sale by $25.  This includes the complete in box (CIB) version with manual which is now $125, as well as the cart + dust cover version, which is now $74.  More info after the link and a 3D video of the game is available below if you’d like to see it in action:

A few things to note.  First, the ROM will be compatible with the Hyperflash32 and HyperBoy ROM carts, however previous carts like the FlashBoy won’t work.  It should be compatible with the Mr. Cart as well, since that also supports larger games like HyperFighting.

Next, Virtual WarZone supports some homebrew hardware accessories, such as the Link Cable for versus play and Kevin Mellott’s Rumble Pack, making this a pretty unique game.  Also, a battery-based SRAM chip is included to save high scores and gallery unlocks.

Lastly, Virtual War Zone was made via VUEngine , which has allowed for some awesome homebrew on the platform; Defintiely read more about them if you’re interested in Virtual Boy homebrew!
