Neptune Motherboard Region Fix

Developer Cosam has just published a fix for the Neptune “region flicker” problem, which was causing issues with some Sega CD games and noticeable in the 240p Test Suite.  In order to stop the Genesis + 32x console from constantly changing between regions, you’ll need to add one jumper wire from a chip leg to ground.  Cosam released the fix in the same style as an official Sega service bulletin, which is both helpful and hilarious – I re-posted it here below the links.  This board already performed really well with both audio and video output analysis, so this is a worthy fix to an already awesome project.  As a note, the main project github was updated as well, so anyone making new boards will have the fix automatically implemented!

A few things to note about this.  First, the pin you’ll need to solder to on the 5660 chip is really small.  If you did this project yourself, you’ll have no trouble at all, however beginner modders should definitely not try it themselves.

Next, it looks like GitHub user dr-goobur provided the fix, supported by noobguy57, angelsix, v00dooperson and many more behind the scenes.  So a genuine and heartfelt THANK YOU to them and anyone else who helped make this amazing project even better.
